Life News: Monday was my 42nd birthday and here are some of my presents! The Elvira mousepad is honestly the most comfortable on my wrist. I ADORE this giant Freddy mug that I can use for copious amounts of tea or soup or ice cream! And FINALLY, I have a Primus patch for my battle vest. And a signed limited edition of one of the best coming-of-age horror novels ever written. And what's the bottom pic? Let me tell you!

In my novel, Conjuring Destiny, in my Brides of Prophecy universe, High Sorcerer Zareth carves a lilac wood staff for his apprentice and fated mate, Xochitl. He tops it with a star garnet. Lilacs and garnets are very important to her. But also, making a staff for another mage is equivalent to a marriage proposal. For my 40th birthday, my real life romance hero carved me a lilac wood staff, and now for this birthday, got me a garnet and 3D printed a prototype setting for it. He's going to get silver filament for the real thing.  Needless to say, I've been sighing and swooning all week.  Book News: I've been making good progress with Redeeming the Angel. We'll be learning so much more about the world of Luminista and the lost kingdom of Medicia.  The Graveyard Girls is still with the beta reader, and when I get her feedback, I'll be diving into a 2nd round of revising, then turn it in to my agent. The One Bite Per Night audiobook is still on track to be done by the end of the month. You can preorder it directly from me HERE!

Life News: I finally got my goth plants in the ground. The reason for the delay was that the person who owned the house before covered all lawn space with plastic and woodchips. We've been excavating it a little bit at a time. I have a third one coming soon and got clippings of other ones I'll be trying to get going.  I also came up with a kickass idea for an address pillar thingie so that delivery people can see our house number. More on that later!

YOLO WITH KOBO PLUS! KISSING VICIOUS ON RADISH, AND OTHER NEWS!

Today is a very special Kobo Plus romance celebration, #YOLO with Kobo! (YOLO stands for You Only Live Once, aka, life is too short to not have ALL the books you want) I think it's funny an cute that they went with old-school slang for this, but yeah. This event is Highlighting my rockstar romance, With Vengeance, though there was a goof and it has the title as Kissing Vicious. However, it doesn't matter because you can get BOTH on on Kobo Plus! You can get the whole Hearts of Metal series! Or any of my other series, for that matter.  The Bite Me, Your Grace audiobook is there too! Other News: I'm giving Radish a try. For those who don't know, Radish is a phone app that lets you read chapters of books in episodic format.  Right now, the first 10 chapters of Kissing Vicious are up there free, so if you're not interested in Kobo, you can read the book for free on Radish, though the following chapters release for free next week, or you can use their coin system to unlock the others. Because it's a phone app, I can't link to the book, but check out the hottie I have to represent this story.

OTHER BOOK NEWS: I got unstuck with The Graveyard Girls and got a ton more written. This book is the longest thing I've written and the final draft will probably be as long as Robert McCammon's coming of age horror novel, Boy's Life. (That book is AWESOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!) But it won't be as long as Stephen King's IT because I'm not that crazy and not talented enough to write a 300,000 word tome that will actually be good, lol. I STILL haven't heard back from the anthology publisher about that short horror story I submitted. So I'm researching other places to send it to. I got most of the Brides of Prophecy covers updated and will show those off soon. Though some of you have probably already seen them on Amazon and other places. And, of course, I'm working on the preliminary outline for Book 10 and there will be a giveaway related to that. Audio News: The narrator for the Bite Me, Your Grace audiobook is set to start on One Bite Per Night on the 23rd! It will take longer to come out since I'm sending the book in portions that I can afford each month. As a reminder, anyone who donates to my audiobook fund gets a free copy of the audiobook when it's done. Life News: I'm still torn up about the loss of my Grandma. I'm having lunch with my other Grandma tomorrow and thanking the fates that at least I still have her in my life. I'm doing my best to stay busy so I don't wallow in grief.
