In my novel, Conjuring Destiny, in my Brides of Prophecy universe, High Sorcerer Zareth carves a lilac wood staff for his apprentice and fated mate, Xochitl. He tops it with a star garnet. Lilacs and garnets are very important to her. But also, making a staff for another mage is equivalent to a marriage proposal.
For my 40th birthday, my real life romance hero carved me a lilac wood staff, and now for this birthday, got me a garnet and 3D printed a prototype setting for it. He's going to get silver filament for the real thing.
Needless to say, I've been sighing and swooning all week.
Book News:
I've been making good progress with Redeeming the Angel. We'll be learning so much more about the world of Luminista and the lost kingdom of Medicia.
The Graveyard Girls is still with the beta reader, and when I get her feedback, I'll be diving into a 2nd round of revising, then turn it in to my agent.
The One Bite Per Night audiobook is still on track to be done by the end of the month. You can preorder it directly from me HERE! |
