Free Enemies-to-Lovers romances, Bewitching the Vampire has a webpage, Horror news, and life update!

Bewitching the Vampire finally has a page on my website, but there's no release date as of yet. I'm fairly confident that it will be out in July, though. When in July should be announced soon.

OTHER NEWS:

The House of Haunts anthology I'm part of will release October 13th. My horror-loving readers should enjoy the haunted garage story I'm working on. As soon as there's a webpage for the anthology, I'll share it. I'm also hard at work on my coming of Age horror, The Graveyard Girls.

And speaking of, I finally got a straight answer on whether or not I could borror Kent's last name for my horror pen name. He said yes.

Reader, my pen name married him.

Life News:

I'm currently obsessed with another Wuxia/ Chinese fantasy show: Miss The Dragon. It's like an overdose on cuteness and tropey af. There's even a character who's like the Chinese version of Hades! It's free on Viki if anyone is interested.

And I'm also currently reading the Tang dynasty series by Jeannie Lin. I love the way she mingles history, romance, and mystery. Her Lotus Palace Mysteries are awesome too!

Also, it's FINALLY morel season in my part of the Northwest US. These are the only mushrooms I like to eat and I hope we get a ton when we go out hunting for them tomorrow!

Anyway, I'm off to work more on Bewitching the Vampire. Next time I'll hopefully have a release date for it. I'm also working on my horror projects, going to introduce my son to The Exorcist for his first time, and taking Kent to see Clutch on Sunday for his belated B-day present.

I got the preliminary blurb (book description) done for Bewitching the Vampire. Here it is:

OTHER NEWS:

I wrote a fun essay on my experience writing horror when I have PTSD and also about how my therapist and I are reading Stephen King's IT together to help me with my coming-of-age horror novel with the working title, The Graveyard Girls. It should be out on the HWA's Holistic Horrors blog in June or July.

Speaking of The Graveyard Girls, I just sent the prologue and first three chapters to my agent. I am torn between excitement and nervousness. I hope she likes it! I hope to be done with at least the rough draft by the end of the year so that we can get it polished and ready to go to market next year.

But that's not all in my horror adventures. I was invited to take part in an anthology by Parlor Ghost Press called, House of Haunts: 24 Rooms. 24 Ghosts. 24 Stories.

My story will be about a haunted garage! House of Haunts should be out in October!

Life News:

I want to thank all of you who offered condolences for the loss of my cousin. We went to his funeral on Wednesday and it was a nice service. My aunt is the strongest woman I know. She organized the whole thing, wrote an incredible eulogy, and had nice little memorial cards made. Then she even went with me to put a flower on my mom's grave.

In more cheerful news, my son took me to see Renfield today and I LOVED it. It was like a horror-comedy crossed with a superhero movie. I even asked the movie theater to save the poster for me after they're done showing it. So if any of you are on the fence, GO SEE IT!

And then we went to our local music store to get the first Angus McSix album that just came out. The lead singer used to be in Gloryhammer, a very nerdy and cheesy power metal band that sings about unicorns and goblins and stuff. But the singer was ousted from Gloryhammer and formed Angus McSix (his Gloryhammer character was Angus McFife, so his new name is a pun.). Anyway, he upped the nerdiness and cheese even more and gives us epic songs like LASER SHOOTING DINOSAUR. You must check it out, lol.

Anyway, I'm off to work more on Bewitching the Vampire and my horror projects. Next week I'll announce the winner of the giveaway and have more freebies to share.

Free Grumpy-Sunshine Romances & Urban Fantasy ARCs, Adventures in art and therapy, and more!

I think last month I mentioned that I reconnected with the therapist I had after my mom passed away. Anyway, I'm seeing her because my writer's block has been out of control and I have this book I very much need to write. She came up with the idea of me picking a book that inspires me and we'd read it together and discuss it. Since this is a coming-of-age horror, I picked Stephen King's IT. The strategy is working! But what's fantastic is that not only am I making progress on The Graveyard Girls, I'm also writing the next Brides of Prophecy book. Because, even though I've been delving into horror, I will NEVER stop writing paranormal romance. That book will hopefully release this summer!

Speaking of my art, I did upload my wolf scratchboard to Red Bubble so people can get prints, stickers, or mugs if they want. GO HERE IF YOU'RE INTERESTED

AUDIOBOOK UPDATE:

My goal for 2023 is to get at least one of my books in audio format. But if I want to keep my rights to my work, I'll have to hire a narrator. So I set up a Patreon account where all proceeds will go towards that goal. LIFE NEWS:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season. Christmas was fun at my house. I got JAWS PJ pants and a JAWS shirt to go with the hat and socks I already had. I LOVE that movie, lol.

I also did my first painting in over a decade. A memorial portrait of our dearly departed Phantom for Kent.

He liked it.

BUT WHAT ABOUT MY WRITING?

Although I'm happy I'm doing art again, I recently got back into therapy to get over my writing block. It's helping and I'm pleased to announce that I'm making headway on my epic coming-of-age horror novel AND on the next Brides of Prophecy book!

I hope to have a title and a teaser excerpt soon for the Brides of Prophecy book.
