LIFE NEWS

Our week was pretty eventful. We had my aunt and uncle over for dinner. I made boeuf bourguignon with morels for my aunt and uncle. (video recipe HERE).

They seem to be holding up pretty well after the loss of my cousin, and we're all determined to have more family time.

A few days later, Shadowpaw brought us a live baby bunny. We put him in an aquarium and gave him food and water and snuggles, but alas, he passed away after two days. He was really cute. Mayhem was very confused by the whole situation.

Some of you saw last week that I joined LitRing's Author Spring Fling giveaway, however there were apparently some technical difficulties, like some authors--including me--having the Amazon follow link not work. Thanks to your help, I was able to report this to LitRing and they fixed it. They did advise that you need to click "complete action" for your entries to go through, and if that's not working, clear your cache.

Status of my Audio Book fund.

Many of my readers have requested my books in audio, but I don't quite have the funds to hire a narrator. Why not ACX, or other royalty-share programs? Because with those, you don't get rights to your work for several years and I've been burned by that road before. Which book will I do first in audio? The top contenders are Wrenching Fate (Brides of Prophecy, Book 1) and Kissing Vicious (Hearts of Metal, book 1). However, His Final Girl, (B Mine, book 1) is another contender. I'll be surveying my supporters to see which one they want first!

SOUP FOR MY FAMILY!

This will probably be the last time I mention morel mushrooms for the year. We got most of our haul dehyrated, but there were still a bunch that didn't fit in the dehydrator, so I made concentrated soup. These six vaccuum-sealed bags will be frozen. And each should be able to make a gallon of soup! I will use some to use for sauce on cheese tortellini or in stroganoff too.

Weekend Plans:

I'm hopefully going to be doing a lot of writing. And should have a release date for Bewitching the Vampire next week. I will also be watching Fangoria's Chainsaw Awards (like the Oscars, but for Horror). It's gonna be on Shudder on Sunday.
