This is a horror author event at the Timberline Lode in Mt. Hood, Oregon! This is where The Shining was filmed, and will of course include a screening of The Shining.

The event will be held September 25th-27th, with the book signing being on the 26th!

You can get tickets HERE, and unlike a lot of romance events, they're very affordable (which is why I'm able to attend), at only 20 bucks! Sadly the tickets to The Shining screening are sold out for now, but if you join the Facebook Group, you can keep an eye out for if someone cancels and tickets become available.

If you do join the group, you'll see that I haven't been announced yet, so shhhh! ;)

So, with a 400 mile road trip in my future, I need to get my car back to reliable and roadtrip-worthy.

I got a start with replacing my catalytic converter and bought a new scanner tool since I lost the one we had in the disaster that wrecked our house and took the love of my life.

I had already been getting parts I need for various repairs, but I only just now recovered my tools and toolbox.

It's pretty dusty and I gotta organize and inventory my various sockets and wrenches.

This will be my first trip without Kent, who made me feel safe enough to travel and be out in public at all. But I will have my son with me, thank goodness. I don't think I'd have the courage to go alone.

Next time I hope to have more good news.
