Behold, my new Brides of Prophecy covers! In order to keep up with the market and have readers who enjoy paranormal, urban fantasy, and fantasy romances, I'm revamping (pun intended) the covers to my Brides of Prophecy series. So far I have the first 6 updated in Ebook, but only the first 3 are updated in paperback and so far only on Amazon. I AM getting them updated on Draft2Digital as well, but they move slower. But aren't they pretty?

If you prefer the original first edition covers, there are still some for sale at my store. I also have the 2nd edition Ebook editions there with those covers, so grab them while you can because once they sell out, I'll be getting copies of the new editions in stock as soon as I can. Please reply in the comments to let me know which one looks best!  Disregard the stock photo watermarks. Those are just the samples I'm using until the final decision is made and I'll purchase a license for the image. But hey, it's proof I don't use AI!

Life news: I just had to drop a little over 300 bucks to get the parts I need to replace the AC system on my car. The compressor died last July and she's been sounding angrier and angrier. She's also overdue for a valve adjustment. I probably won't be making videos for either repair because I'm going to need all my concentration as it's been almost twenty years since I've performed either service on a car back in my mechanic days.  It's still thousands of dollars cheaper than buying a new car. Also, I ADORE my Honda Fit!

Writing updates: Horror: I'm still working on my lighthouse horror novel, and will soon have a release date for the women in horror anthology I'm part of. I will also have some kinda big news at the end of the month. Romance:  I'm making great progress on my Brides of Prophecy standalone spinoff, To Wed a Warrior. It's an homage to a certain ship in the Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones fandom and I am having so much fun! Between that, I'm researching for another Scandals With Bite book. Since I'm going to be doing A LOT of car work this spring, I figured I'd share this fun video about how to do an oil change. The car I'm working on is a 2007 Honda Fit, but the same method applies to most vehicles. If you don't have an oil drain pan like mine, if you're able to get your car/truck/van/SUV high enough, you can use a milk jug and a funnel.

Writing updates: Horror: I reached the 10% mark in the rough draft of my Victorian Lighthouse horror novel. I still don't have a title, but I jotted down a few that might work. Romance:  I didn't finish the outline to the next Brides of Prophecy spinoff novel, To Wed a Warrior, because I don't know what will cause the 3rd act breakup, or if I will even bother with one since I usually hate them. So I said, "to hell with it" and started writing the book.  I hope to have a teaser scene to share soon. Goth Garden update: My back in black stonecrop I planted last year is coming back nicely. Especially this one. I also got a bare root start of a Night Embers and it's already sprouting new growth. Right now, it's chilling with my black mondo grass start.

Writing update. In the horror-verse, I got my edits back for my killer waitress short story for the women in horror anthology, Pretend You Don't See Her. They said we'll have a release date soon! I'm also making headway in my Victorian Lighthouse horror novel. I still don't have a title. Life News: I got a starter plant of Black Mondo grass for my goth garden, as well as 12 seeds, which apparently take months to germinate. Isn't it amazing! Eventually I want the whole front yard to be black grass, lavender, and purplish black stonecrop.

I also got a few formatting and graphic design gigs, so I didn't get to go fishing this week, which is a bummer, but I really needed the money. Especially since I just had a filling pop out and now my tooth is in agony. I got an emergency appointment in the low income clinic on Monday. Cross your fingers for me! A Part of Me That was Dead is Resurrected, Freebies, and a Book Sale!

Ever since I was 4 or 5, I LOVED to fish. But, for some reason, I hadn't done so in over 10 years, despite living in walking distance from my favorite lake.  But in the past week, I've been fishing! I went ice fishing twice (something I've never done, but always wanted to do, despite my hatred of being cold). But the ice already melted, so my last venture, I fished from the shore. Even though I didn't catch anything aside from a perch and some fish that took me on a run, then escaped before I could reel it in, it felt so GOOD! Horror News: March is Women in Horror month! That means I'll be participating in some fun interviews and stuff! A few updates: I'm hoping to find out the release date for the 2025 Women in Horror anthology featuring my short story, "The Waitress." At the end of April, I get the rights back to His Final Girl and will have some huge news then! I didn't get as far as I'd like on my lighthouse horror novel, but I AM making progress and writing every day. Still no word on The Graveyard Girls, but my agent is slammed with work and life stuff, so I'm not worried. Life News: Aside from fishing, here are my March goals.
