More Hearts of Metal books on KU, Rockstar Recs, Horror News and Life news!

My entire Hearts of Metal series is now available on Kindle Unlimited. I will eventually move them back to wide, though.  So if you're a KU subscriber, get them NOW  If you're not a KU subscriber and don't plan to be, you can buy them at my store and save yourself a buck!  I also wrote a column for Fresh Fiction recommending other Rockstar Romances that are on KU.   Horror News: Kandisha Press officially announced that my short story "The Waitress" will be in the 2025 Women in Horror Anthology, Pretend You Don't See Her.  I am so excited and honored. You'll notice that my pen name is a little different. That's because I'm going to be using that pen name for my stories that don't have a romance.

I'm working on another horror novel and am trying not to be scared of what my agent will think of The Graveyard Girls, which I'd turned in earlier this month. Cross your fingers for me! ROMANCE NEWS! Life News: I had some symptoms that made my doctor worry could be cancer, but I went through the procedure to check for it and the results were normal. I don't want to look at Gatorade for at least another year, lol.  Like many others, I am mourning the loss of David Lynch. He was a huge inspiration to me. My next scratchboard will be a portrait of him. I also sneak homages to his work in my books. Like this one in The Highwayman's Bite.

It's Here!!  My short ghost story about a haunted Datsun Fairlady from the House of Haunts anthology is available on its own. Josh Malerman loved it! I've decided to do that so readers can differentiate from when the story is a romance and when it isn't. All Brooklyn Ann books are romances, including my horror romances. Horror News! I've finally finished my second revision for my coming of age horror novel, The Graveyard Girls. Now it's off to my agent. And hopefully she likes it, because then it will be off to the big publishing houses to see if we can land a good book deal for it. Cross your finger for me! More Horror News! My short story about a killer waitress was accepted by Kandisha Press for their next Women in Horror anthology. I'll have more news about when that will be released later.  Art news! Test prints were made and approved for my scratchboard piece for Carrie's Legacy. The prints themselves will be done in about a week and there are still a few unclaimed. They'll be 8X10 and ship flat with protective glassine. The price will be $35 plus shipping. Let me know if you'd like to order one!

Life News: Going back into therapy was the best thing for me. For the first time in seven years, I made a list of goals for the year and a monthly plan of how to achieve each. I also made a list of unlikely dream goals, like earning enough from my books to be able to afford to marry Kent, but it's important to have big dreams as well as small ones. As you can see, I have book career goals, art goals, car repair goals, and even landscaping goals. As well as good for me things like fishing, hunting morels, and huckleberry picking.
