Other Book News:
I turned in my short horror story to the anthology publisher. Now I gotta hold my breath and see if it's accepted. If it isn't, I'll submit it to some other publishers. I also finished my illustration for the secret project that a limited edition publisher will be announcing next month.
Life News:
My grandma passed away on Thursday. I'm absolutely devastated. A few years ago, she'd asked me if there was anything I wanted when she passed away. I told her I'd like the burl that I'd always played with when I was at her house. She laughed and said, "Really?"
That thing was my favorite "toy" at Grandma's house. From when I was little, all the way to this year, every time I visited, I made a beeline for it and played with it the whole time.
I don't know which type of tree my great-grandpa took it from, but it's so cool.
It was really surreal taking it home. I'd much rather be able to play with it at her house while visiting her. |
