Okay, even though parts of designing this cover were extremely difficult, all around, I had a blast making it and sometimes wish I could take a few years off of writing and design book covers instead, lol. I think this might be one of my best. Drumrollllllllll!

I alas do not have a release date for this one. I am hoping for this summer, but since it's a long and complex book, it could take longer. Also on my schedule is the next B Mine book, His Scream Queen. While writing Reclaiming the Magic, I'm working on outling my fun 80's prom-themed horror.

^That's the monster potato I baked for dinner last night. I'm just showing it off because it's so epic. This is why Idaho license plates say "Famous Potatoes" LOL. Anyway... LIFE NEWS! I've been sick with a cold all weekend, scrambling to play catch-up and... :::gulp:: haven't gotten my Halloween decorations up yet!!!  OH THE SHAME! Hopefully, I'll get to it this weekend. And it's not like I haven't done anything festive. I did a horror swap in a group I'm in. ...And yes, in addition to books and other goodies, I totally sent her an Idaho Potato. And I've been watching nightly movies with my online movie club. I've also been trying to take more time to read. I think my decline in reading time is a big reason why I've been getting so many bouts of writer's block. However, although I haven't been writing much, my characters HAVE been speaking to me. For the next Brides of Prophecy book, I've been getting glimpses of how Xochitl is going to react to meeting her long lost aunt. ....Good times. :) Anyway, I have one more baked potato left over and it's calling my name. Hey everyone!  I had and awesome birthday and got the coolest birthday card from reader, Ellie! It's a box with Kent's and my 4 cats on the outside and a top hat on top and then it opens to reveal this amazing cake and beautiful writer-themed notes!

In other birthday fun, my son got me a cool 8-bit Stranger Things T-shirt and a Tim Curry Pennywise action figure. Kent got me the original aluminum wheels for my Honda Fit, and my brother got me an autographed pic of PJ Soles from the original HALLOWEEN!

And then, as a present to myself, I got the limited artist's goft edition of Joe Hill's Horns. It's signed by Joe and the artist who did this amazing cover. I think it's the most beautiful book I've ever owned. If you get a chance, I definitely recommend Horns. It's a great read.

What's next in book news? Her Haunted Heart comes out October 8th, then I want to try to start the next Brides of Prophecy book. Life got in the way and so that one keeps getting delayed. The book IS coming together well and I'm going to get more words down before having a nice birthday dinner with Kent.  We also had a piece of ceiling fall in from a roof leak and my car has some overdue repairs needed, so that's fun. BUT, I am living with the love of my life, I get to cuddle with cats every night, my son is amazing, I had cake for breakfast, and I get to murder crab legs for my birthday dinner, so life is all right. Life News:  I said I'd get pics from the Santana concert, but I didn't get any good ones from the actual show, alas. But here's a shot of Mt. Rainier showing behind the stage and the tour shirt I bought.

It was an amazing show. I had no idea how many Doobie Brothers songs I knew and Santana was of course mindblowing. His wife did a drum solo that reminded me of Cozy Powell. I'm so glad Kent's and my friend surprised us with tickets. But, I'm glad I'm done going to concerts for a couple months. My social anxiety has not been doing well with being around crowds. I am seeing Ghost in September, so that should be fun. Now it's huckleberry season, so I'm going to be in the mountains a lot, getting my fingers purple.  Also, I need to catch up on Her Haunted Heart. I'm a little behind on it, but should be able to meet my deadline that's in a month.  Thank you so much for being my readers!
