Ever since I was 4 or 5, I LOVED to fish. But, for some reason, I hadn't done so in over 10 years, despite living in walking distance from my favorite lake.
But in the past week, I've been fishing! I went ice fishing twice (something I've never done, but always wanted to do, despite my hatred of being cold).
But the ice already melted, so my last venture, I fished from the shore.
Even though I didn't catch anything aside from a perch and some fish that took me on a run, then escaped before I could reel it in, it felt so GOOD! Like part of me that was dead came back to life.
Have any of you experienced anything like that?
